Roy Musitelli's

Raised and educated in Santa Cruz, California, Roy moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1977, inspired by the power of visual storytelling through photojournalism. After a 30-year award-winning newspaper career, his passion for illustration and design brought him back to the drawing board.

Now based in Phoenix, Oregon, Roy focuses on the region’s natural beauty while continuing to refine his craft. His work blends color and light much like pixels form a digital image, combining hand-drawn artwork with digital enhancement to create vibrant, visually striking illustrations.

At Roy Musitelli Photo & Design, he creates detailed images that tell a story. His passion for art and photography drives him to capture the beauty of everyday moments and transform them into compelling artwork that connects people and enhances their experiences.

"I’ve worked on numerous editorial projects with Roy—primarily feature stories for print media. He's a sensitive shooter who sees the human side of any story and brings it out in unexpected and genuine ways."— John Taylor, Editor, Yakima Herald-Republic
